Teaching Self-Reliance

Updated: Sep 11, 2021

Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Jesus said in the above passage, "and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you". To Healing 4 All Nations Ministry, this means to enforce in them that God wants to do a mighty work in and through them.

It is His will for them to know that He is their source. As missionaries, we are an instrument Jesus uses to preach the gospel, baptize them and teach them. This is what we do.

Because of our sponsors, we have been able to buy seeds to plant crops, drilled two deep wells, and change this village and surrounding villages. Gutu, Zimbabwe is able to sell chickens, eggs, maize, and soon will sell fish. The nutritional level has risen. There is less malnutrition, infant mortality, and longer life expectancy. Glory to God. Praise His name.

Clean water alone has decreased diseases. The Holy Spirit is referred to in some places in the Bible as "Living Water". We see the Holy Spirit revealing Himself as compassionate and loving through the projects here.

Our plan is to have them self-reliant by 2023. Then they will maintain the Clinic building, pay the employee, buy the medications and other supplies, support the pastors and the congregations. Now they have been supplied with 200 chickens, seeds and a pond is being dug to supply fish.

The economy of this village is prospering and they are selling crops to the surrounding villages.

Here you see the irrigation of the field, even in the dry season.

Here is some dry soil being irrigated. Small portions of the soil are damp.

Solar panels are used during farming. The panels provide electricity for the clinic. They are also used to increase the productivity of the crops. Farmers are using sustainable farming methods that don’t require expensive machinery.
