Listening to explanations of the Word of God
Yeshua (Jesus) is the only way to God. There is no other way. You cannot access God through the ancestors, angels, burnt sacrifices or any other type of object.
John 14:6 Yeshua (Jesus) said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
Yeshua (Jesus) is the only sacrifice that God acknowledges for the remission of sin
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Even by Peters and Paul’s time, people had misinterpreted scriptures and written statements to justify their own positions about what they wanted to explain God was saying.
Look up the scriptures for yourself. Pray for Almighty God to lead you to the truth and reveal the errors in your understandings and thinking.
Hebrews 4:12 12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints, and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
John 8:32 You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
Philipp 3:16 In any case, we should live up to whatever truth we have already attained.
Of significance regarding the scriptures:
(TEV)2 Timothy 3:16 & 17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is valuable for teaching the truth, convicting of sin, correcting faults and training in right living; thus anyone who belongs to God may be fully equipped for every good work.
Perhaps, you must set aside some of the doctrines you have accepted as fundamental, because of the training and instruction that you have had. I know it will be difficult for you not to believe that which you have learned from your personal knowledge quests, pulpits, or Bible studies. Some of the things I am suggesting here conflict with many of the traditional Christian foundations and other widely accepted church beliefs.
Again, I am cautioned:
James 3:1 Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, since you know that we will be judged more severely.
Let me just say here that I am but an ardent, anxious student who wants to stay in the mouth of God, while heeding the warnings.
God has always made a Lawful provision for His people to get to Him. It is by turning from their evil ways and His son, Yeshua (Jesus), will be the final judge of that.
Romans 2:14~16. For whenever Gentiles, who have no Torah, do naturally what the Torah (Scriptures) requires, then these, even though they don’t have Torah, for themselves are Torah! For their lives show that the conduct the Torah dictates is written in their hearts. Their consciences also bear witness to this, for their conflicting thoughts sometimes accuse them and sometimes defend them on a day when God passes judgment on people’s inmost secrets. (According to the Good News as I proclaim it, he does this through the Messiah Yeshua.)
So, even if one does not know Yeshua, they will still be judged by Him, judged according to our actions and our hearts condition. It seems to me that God wants to give people the time to change and stop doing what is wrong.
1 John 4:1-5
Dear friends, do not trust every spirit. On the contrary, test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
2 Here is how you recognize the Spirit of God: every spirit which acknowledge that Yeshua the Messiah came as a human being is from God,
3 and every spirit which does not acknowledge Yeshua is no from God-in fact, this is the spirit of the Anti-Messiah. You have heard that he is coming. Well, he's here now, in the world already!
4 You, children, are from God and have overcome the false prophets, because he who is in you is greater that he who is in the world.
5 They are from the world; therefore, they speak from the world's viewpoint; and the world listens to them.
Acts 17:11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.
James 1:2-2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
For those of us who are blessed to have been introduced to Yeshua (Jesus), it is a little different. We have the recorded life example of (Yeshua) Jesus, His own words, and those of the early apostles, to serve as a model of how we must live to help us. Receiving salvation via Yeshua) Jesus is simple.
1 Cor 15:34 Come to your senses! Live righteously and stop sinning! There are some people who lack knowledge of God — I say this to your shame.
WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT
John 16:13 However, when the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own initiative but will say only what he hears. He will also announce to you the events of the future.
1 John 1:9 If we acknowledge our sins, then, since he is trustworthy and just, he will forgive them and purify us from all wrongdoing.
Do we receive the Holy Spirit when we accept Yeshua or are baptized in His name? I
Aren’t the Fruits of the Spirit, manifest in our lives, proof that we have received the Holy Spirit? Those who have put to death the works of the flesh.
The works of the flesh is our sinful nature.
Galatians 5:19-21 And it is perfectly evident what the old nature does. It expresses itself in sexual immorality, impurity, and indecency; involvement with the occult and with drugs; in feuding, fighting, becoming jealous and getting angry; in selfish ambition, factionalism, intrigue and envy; in drunkenness, orgies and things like these. I warn you now as I have warned you before: those who do such things will have no share in the Kingdom of God!
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 humility, self-control. Nothing in the Torah (Scriptures) stands against such things.
Matthew 7:20 So you will recognize them by their fruit.
Should I be afraid to ask God for The Baptism of the Holy Spirit?
(Gods Word) Luke 11:11 ““Is there any father here who, if his son asked him for a fish, would instead of a fish give him a snake? 12 “Or if your child asks you for an egg, would you give him a scorpion?” 13 “Even though you’re evil, you know how to give good gifts to your children. So how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”
Romans 8:26 Similarly, the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we don’t know how to pray the way we should. But the Spirit himself pleads on our behalf with groanings too deep for words;
